Our  Solar Practical Workshop is designed to provide participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills necessary to design, install, and maintain solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.

This workshop focuses on real rooftop installations, electrical wiring practice, solar system design, testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting—skills that the industry demands today.

Size Solar PV Systems:

Calculate the appropriate size and capacity of solar PV systems based on energy demand, site conditions, and system requirements.

Install Solar PV Systems:

Demonstrate proficiency in mounting solar panels, installing balance of system components, and connecting electrical wiring in compliance with industry standards and safety protocols.

Integrate Solar PV Systems:

The proposed schedule is :

Week 1 (Mon–Fri)

🔹 Day 1 – Solar Basics + Safety

  • Introduction to solar PV

  • System types (On-grid, Off-grid, Hybrid)

  • Component identification

  • Electrical & height safety training
    Outcome: Strong foundation + safety compliance.


🔹 Day 2 – Tools, Wiring & MC4 Practice

  • DC/AC wiring basics

  • Cable sizing fundamentals

  • Tools: MC4 crimping, drilling, multimeter
    Practical:

  • Making MC4 terminations

  • Testing cables
    Outcome: Confident in wiring and tools.


🔹 Day 3 – Structure Mounting + Module Installation

  • Types of module mounting structures

  • Tilt, alignment & load considerations
    Practical:

  • Assembling mounting structure

  • Installing solar panels
    Outcome: Ability to physically install modules safely.


🔹 Day 4 – Inverter, ACDB/DCDB & Earthing

  • Inverter types & placement

  • Protection devices: MCB, SPD, Fuse, DCDB/ACDB

  • Earthing requirements
    Practical:

  • Inverter mounting & wiring

  • Earthing connections
    Outcome: Install BOS and inverter independently.


🔹 Day 5 – System Design Basics

  • Load calculation

  • Sizing of panels, inverter & battery

  • Introduction to design tools
    Practical:

  • Designing a 1kW–3kW sample system
    Outcome: Ability to design basic residential systems.



Week 2 (Mon–Fri)

🔹 Day 6 – System Installation (Hands-on Full Setup)

Practical:

  • Panel installation

  • Wiring

  • Connecting inverter

  • AC & DC side setup
    Outcome: Install a complete working system as a team.


🔹 Day 7 – Testing & Commissioning

  • Pre-commissioning checklist

  • Synchronization

  • Safety compliance
    Practical:

  • Live commissioning of installed system
    Outcome: Run, test & certify a solar system.


🔹 Day 8 – Troubleshooting & Fault Diagnosis

  • Module mismatch

  • Inverter error codes

  • Earthing failures
    Practical:

  • Simulated field faults

  • Repair & diagnostics
    Outcome: Become field-ready for real troubleshooting.


🔹 Day 9 – Site Visit + O&M Training

  • Visit to active rooftop/industrial solar plant

  • Learn maintenance routines

  • Real-world installation overview
    Outcome: Exposure to actual field operations.


🔹 Day 10 – Final Project + Assessment + Certification

Practical Assessment:

  • Wiring test

  • Troubleshooting task

  • Design review

  • Final viva

Outcome:

  • IISE Certificate

  • Ready for jobs & entrepreneurship

Course Eligibility:

  • B.E / B.TECH – Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, E & TC  & Diploma Engineers are preferred.
  • Graduates from other fields can also apply.
  • The participants should be ideally 10+2  to apply.

IISE is offering Two Weeks Solar Practical Workshop  for the academic year 2025-26. This practical workshop is specifically designed for Installers, Technicians, Engineers, Diploma/ITI holders and  Entrepreneurs.

Admission to this workshop will be conducted in two phases. If the seats are filled in the first phase. Then the second phase of admission won’t be held.

FIRST PHASE:

  • Online application start date: 20th Oct 2025
  • The last date for upto 40% scholarship is 20th November 2025
  • The last Date for application is 22nd November 2025

Application received on or before 22nd November 2025 will be shortlisted.

SECOND PHASE:
